Finance Director needed for Don Brown’s campaign for Congress.  Don is the first openly gay candidate to ever win a contested primary in Texas, and is running against Randy Weber, who by his own admission wants to be the most conservative member of Congress. This was a targeted, Red to Blue race in 2012 and has potential to become one again with the right team. Are you up for the challenge?

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and executing an aggressive finance strategy for the campaign, including call time, online appeals, and events.
• Preparing and managing the candidate’s call time.
• Conducting donor research.
• Planning fundraising events
• Developing relationships with current and prospective donors, event hosts, and finance committee members.
• Maintaining a list of donors and prospects.
• Ensuring follow up with pledges.
• Working closely with the Communications Director to draft content for fundraising appeals.

 
Qualifications:

• At least one cycle of campaign finance experience.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Relentless dedication to electing Democrats and to this campaign
• Strong organizational skills and excellent follow-through.
