Summary:

A new organization, Democratic Majority for Israel —the voice of pro-Israel

Democrats—is seeking experience organizers to lead our organizing and

outreach efforts in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina. The

State Director will manage a team of organizers and oversee the political

outreach in the state. This position will report to the National Organizing and

Training Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop state specific organizing plans in coordination with organizers,

activists, and stakeholders

• Manage, coach, and train a team of 3-4 organizers

• Set weekly and monthly benchmarks and metrics for each Organizer

• Monitor progress-to-goal and recommend strategic adjustments when

needed

• Create and/or adapt materials, trainings, and tools to support

Organizer work

• Spend time in the field to build relationships, jointly plan, and coach

and train

• Oversee outreach to local staff of presidential campaigns

• Engage greater progressive community in the state to build

relationships

• Engage state party officials around the state party platform process

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 2 cycles of experience in

organizing for campaigns, political organizations, advocacy groups,

and/or progressive nonprofits

• Are adept at using data and analytics to drive decision making,

program development, and messaging

• Have experience remotely managing high-performing teams

• Are committed to coaching and training the next generation of

Organizers

• Are flexible and adaptable to a fast moving work environment

• Just as comfortable engaging elected officials as working with

volunteers in rural communities.

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience and ability but pay and benefits are

excellent.
