About Clean Energy, Healthy Michigan
Clean Energy, Healthy Michigan is a citizens ballot campaign to protect Michigan’s air and water by increasing the amount of our energy that comes from renewable sources like solar and wind to 30 percent by the year 2030. Passing this measure will reduce pollution, protect our health, lower energy bills, and create good jobs right here in Michigan.
Job Description
As the Constituency Organizer you will help implement the coalition and political outreach plan for the Clean Energy, Healthy Michigan ballot campaign. The campaign will have multiple constituency organizers focused on key campaign partners. The Constituency Organizer reports directly to the Political Director. To succeed, the Constituency Organizer will need to be self-motivated, hard working, experienced in doing political and coalition outreach as well as executing outreach campaigns, have the ability to present, and many other projects, as designated. The job duties are dynamic, but will definitely include outreach and direct field organizing. Applicants with prior campaign experience will be given preference.
Position Qualifications: Proficiency in all listed skills is not required, but definitely preferred.
● Political campaign experience, especially grasstops outreach and field organizing
● Coalition organizing experience
● Staff and coalition management experience
● Social media organizing experience
● Experience developing small scale field campaigns
● Ability to change directions quickly and frequently and organize multiple projects
● Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs
● Experience working in a campaign atmosphere
● Commitment to working long and irregular hours (including evenings and weekends) as needed
Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health care.
