Summary

We are a progressive campaign hiring phonebankers and canvassers to support a pro-education candidate in Upper Manhattan! A strong commitment to liberal politics and education is a must.

Job Type: Part Time, Present - September 13th

Hours: 5 hour evening shifts, 3:30pm-8:30pm EST Mon-Friday, 2-5 hour shifts 9:30am-2:30pm EST 3:30pm-8:30pm EST Satuday/Sunday. 

Occasional other shifts available, scheduled in advance with bonus incentives.

Responsibilities

• Engage with voters either door to door or by phone, educating them about our supported candidate and the importance of their vote.
• Consistently show up on time for all weekly shifts (Early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable)

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and oratory skills
• Ability to memorize a short script and adjust as needed to audience
• Ability to meet goals
• Basic computer and interpersonal skills
• Able to sit and/or walk for long periods of time
• Punctuality!
• Highly Motivated
• Previous canvassing or phone banking experience, either paid or volunteer, is not required, but will receive preferential treatment.
• Ability to immediately start
