Field Organizer

Colorado Victory 2014 is seeking top-quality Field Organizers to join the Democratic coordinated campaign for its highly targeted national and state races. CO Victory 2014 will play a critical role in helping to re-elect Senator Mark Udall as well as other competitive races including congressional races and the Governor’s race. Field Organizers will be the main point of contact for volunteers in their assigned region and will serve a critical role in our growing field organization. Ideal candidates will be hard-working, self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with an ability to achieve set goals and perform under pressure. Field organizers will report directly to the Regional Field Director in their assigned regions.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

•   Recruiting and managing volunteers and volunteer teams

•   Training volunteers in one-on-one and group settings

•   Building and managing volunteer canvasses and phone banks

•   Persuading voters to support Democratic candidates

•   Meeting strict weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals

•   Meeting daily call goals and reporting/data entry deadlines

•   Executing an aggressive Get Out the Vote operation in your area

  Skills or qualifications:

•   Experience working for or volunteering on political campaigns

•   Enthusiasm for and commitment to Democratic politics

•   Strong time management and organizational skills

•   Great interpersonal skills with the ability to listen well and communicate effectively in writing and verbally

•   Ability to take instruction and then translate that experience into effective training and instruction of

  volunteers

•   Enjoys working in a dynamic team environment with varied member s of the general public

•   Ability to set and achieve measurable targets, meet strategic goals, and work effectively with volunteers,

  campaign stakeholders, and local leaders.

•   Desire to learn on the job and meet any challenge with a positive attitude

•   Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends.

 Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
