CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Austin, Texas

Full Time, Temporary Position

 

A Texas statewide campaign seeks to hire a campaign manager through March 2020. The campaign manager is responsible for hiring campaign staff, helping with fundraising, building capacity, coordinating staff, and working with outside consultants and advisors. This position is open immediately.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS CAMPAIGN MANAGER

 

·      Work with the candidate, staff and consultants to run a strong, statewide campaign.

·      Help draft and and implement a campaign plan and budget.

·      Manage and oversee campaign staff and volunteers.

·      Work with consultants to implement a voter contact and paid communications program.

·      Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of social media and marketing campaigns.

·      Oversee campaign fundraising and spending.

·      Manage day-to-day goals and metrics for fundraising.

·      Help build and expand the campaign’s email and fundraising lists.

·      Help manage the candidate's priorities and scheduling.

·      Keep the candidate on track, by organizing lists, managing call sheets, and staffing the candidate during call time and canvassing.

·      Schedule press interviews and coordinate travel to/from events.

·      Help recruit and hire a Communications Director and oversee campaign communications and earned media.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED TO BRING

 

·      Candidates should have at least 2 elections cycles of experience managing a statewide and a strong working knowledge of electoral politics.

·      Must be detail-oriented and organized.

·      Motivated self-starter who has the ability to work independently.

·      Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

·      Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.

·      Working knowledge of Excel and ability to work with data sets.

·      Ability to work long hours and weekends.

·      Attention to detail, time management skills and

·      A strong interest in and commitment to progressive politics

·      Previous Texas political experience is a plus

Salary Range: $7,000-$10,000 per month, based on experience. Salary will be prorated due to the temporary nature of the position.
