Job Opening: Executive Director

 

Organization: Virginia Coalition for Progressive Values (VAC4PV)

 

The VAC4PV is seeking an Executive Director to lead all aspects of the organizations’ work. The VAC4PV is a coalition of c4 progressive organizations who agree to coordinate and align political work in Virginia to maximize overall electoral impact. The coalition consists of local, state and national progressive organizations and has been in operation for a number of years under volunteer leadership. 

 

The Executive Director will be responsible for:

·      Leading a state electoral campaign planning process that incorporates numerous organizations’ capacity, priorities and input and results in a comprehensive annual statewide campaign plan.

·      Coordinating and tracking electoral work to reduce overlap between campaigns and provide an overall understanding of progress toward the annual statewide goals.

·      Communicating with organizations to build a deep understanding of their capacity and priorities and to keep the coalition updated on VAC4PV developments.

·      To the legal extent of the law, communicate and coordinate with candidate and organizational campaigns outside of the coalition to maximize efficiency of the campaigns and demonstrate VAC4PV’s power and effectiveness.

·      Fundraising for a portion of VAC4PV’s annual budget.

·      Working together with VAC4PV’s Executive Committee to drive the overall strategy of the organization.

 

Successful applicants will have:

·      Significant electoral campaign experience, including:

o   A deep understanding of VAN, voter modeling and universe creation

o   Significant experience overseeing electoral field campaigns

o   Ability to interpret and understand voter research including focus groups and polling

o   Ability to create an electoral campaign plan

o   Basic understanding and experience with campaign tactics other than field organizing, including phones, texts, mail and digital.

·      Experience managing staff in a campaign environment

·      Experience managing a budget

·      An understanding and commitment to progressive values

·      Some fundraising experience

 

The VAC4PV Executive Director will be based in Virginia and requires working from home with the ability to travel throughout the state.

The salary range for this position is between $65,000 - $80,000 and will be commensurate with experience and include a benefits package with compensation for healthcare insurance.
