At 270 Strategies, we know that effective leaders and strong teams are the key to success. We believe the best teams succeed when organizations invest in their development and support them via thoughtful, robust training programs. To that end, we are growing our training team to include a Training and Development Project Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Training Project Manager will work with the Vice President of Training and Development, to develop and implement internal staff trainings and professional development programming. 


The Training Project Manager’s scope of work will include but not be limited to:


• Assisting managers with onboarding of new 270 Strategies staff

• Leading planning and execution of 270 all staff retreats 

• Planning and facilitating both interdepartmental, intradepartmental, and role-specific professional development programs

• Updating and maintaining the 270 Strategies Training resource center and training archive


This position will be based in Chicago, IL or Washington, DC and may require some travel.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will display an avid interest in pursuing creative and innovative training methods, and will have extensive experience in coaching, management, development of curriculum, and facilitation of staff training.


He or she should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and should be well acquainted with the principles of adult learning theory and design thinking.


Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years in a management and coaching or training-focused role on electoral campaigns, issued based campaigns, or in a corporate environment.


Additionally, candidates should exhibit:


• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Comfort and flexibility in working across multiple departments and disciplines

• Knowledge of fundamental design principles

• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects at once

• Foundational knowledge of grassroots organizing

• A belief in the idea that grassroots campaigns can change the world
