Position:           Campaign Manager

 

Location:          Fairfax County, VA (Providence District)

 

Status:              Full-Time

 

 

Position Summary

 

Karl Frisch’s Democratic Party-endorsed campaign for Fairfax County for School Board in Providence District (map) seeks an energetic and detail-oriented campaign manager to oversee day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, fundraising, voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and scheduling. This position is based in Fairfax County, Virginia. Salary is commensurate with experience.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

●      Recruit volunteers and manage them in various capacities and projects;

●      Develop and execute field plan (door knocking, phone banking, etc.);

●      Maintain campaign calendar and events schedule;

●      Oversee candidate call-time and other fundraising efforts;

●      Draft and send email blasts, social media posts, etc.;

●      Accompany candidate to events;

●      Attend community events on behalf of the campaign;

●      Assist candidate and consultants with paid media buys;

●      Coordinate with campaigns, stakeholders, and local Dem committees;

●      Prepare regular updates and issue briefings for the candidate;

●      Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

●      Must have familiarity with NGP and VAN;

●      Prior campaign experience is preferred;

●      Extremely well-organized and detail-oriented;

●      Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;

●      Access to reliable transportation;

●      Experience with COMET, Virginia’s campaign finance report filing system;

●      Flexible personality and sense of humor;

●      Comfortable with networking in professional settings;

●      Ability to build and motivate a team of volunteers;

●      Skilled at juggling competing priorities and deadlines;

●      Proven track record for being a self-starter.

●      Knowledge of Fairfax County political and government landscape a plus;
