I'm literally half way through the process of updating my copy of the Opera browser (to version 12.10) on my MacBook.  Before the download process has started, it (or perhaps Apple) has just popped up a warning "Opera contains age-restricted material.  Click OK to confirm that you are 17 or over. Your content will then begin downloading immediately.".  Now, if it was anything else I would immediately halt the download - particular since this is a company machine.  In this case I'm going to go ahead with the download.  I'm just very surprised to find that Opera is now classed as "adult only" software.  I wonder how long before the other browsers follow suit?

The chrome browser on the iPhone has the same pop-up, might be Apple rather than the browser like you said.

Just to understand, Vince, are you upgrading Opera from the App Store,
right?

I don't know though, some opera can contain adult themes. Just pick one based on one of the Shakespeare plays like Macbeth. Maybe he's upgrading his version of Macbeth?

Shakespeare was a 16th century playwright. Saying that he wrote opera is akin to saying Turing contributed to the Open JDK.

Gosh, really? I think you missed the words 'based on' in the sentence.

Matthew Farwell.

You both also missed the fact that Shakespeare was clearly a proto-Nazi.

it's an apple dialog.

they present a similar one for lunascape on ios.

I imagine it is because the web browser allows you to visit unsavoury sites such as protonazi.sausage.com , arstechnica.com and themirror.co.uk
