This year, featuring Alan Ford from "lock stock and two smoking
barrels".

Too frequent use of the f-bomb. Kills an otherwise great story line.

Well done! For once they focus on what the JVM can do, rather than how everything else sucks.

Perhaps they need to do an American version then, with Ben Stiller instead of Alan Ford and angst replacing the f-bomb.

Did you even notice the homophobic content?

I thought it was really well made but it needed a funny ending instead of the 'Java is free, wow' ending.

"I thought you were supposed to be a Java expert."

"I lied, I'm just a Java Certified Programmer."

"You skullf**king cunt waffle."

Classic.

I agree. It was really well made, and I loved the transition at the end when he was saying the JVM was brilliant with the laser sights on his head. I just felt they were too gratuitous with the f-bomb and it wasn't necessary.

Well, it was with Alan Ford and it kind of goes with the whole Snatch
theme. I should probably have warned about the explicit words though.

Well, nonetheless, it's very well made. A real movie trailer can hardly be any better than that. (And not always much better on the language either.) So guys, take it easy, relax and enjoy another great JavaZone performance. These guys really ought to do movies on the side.

What's funny is that the real JavaZone announcement takes about - at least! - one whole second. That wasn't two seconds. Was it ? :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I particularly liked Mr Pascal's Facebook check-in list: "Gosling's Tavern", "Ye Olde Developer" (Nerds drinking - 58008 were here), "Gates Massage Parlour" (3505 were here) and "La Scala".

And am I the only person who thought Mr Dot looks like Sebastian Vettel?

I am also not a fan of all the bad language. I did watch it through to the end but it grated on me.

I've lived and worked in London five days of the week for the last five years and I've met plenty of people just like The Governor. Much as I don't use that language myself (ok, not much) I don't find it grates because it is part of the vernacular for certain areas of the city.
