Hi Rory,

All tests are green on our side with 8u162 EA b01.

Also impatient to start testing more official JDK 10 EA builds than ones built locally ;)

And we have questions about few bugs that we reported some time ago:

https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8144185 -  seems that raising interest in type-use annotations raises importance of this fix. Maybe we'll put a workaround for this one, but given quite big range of affected tools based on ASM [1] [2] [3] [4], we are wondering if fix can be backported to JDK 8 ?

https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8154017 - since moment of report of this bug we had several users that faced this problem (e.g. [5]) and each time it is quite hard to diagnose, explain, etc and we don't see reliable options to do a workaround, so also wondering about possibility to backport this to JDK 8, especially that fix seems to be quite simple?
