Hi,
I never worked with bigTable, but dplyr has an interface to bigQuery. See more here:

When using dplyr, you can interface with various databases. I worked with sqlite and mysql and in both cases it worked well. Since it has an interface to bigQuery too, i'm sure it won't be too difficult.
