Good Morning,

 

 

I would like to say a heart-felt thank you to all of you who have worked alongside me over the last 5 and (almost) half years in the Ability Links program. It has been wonderful to work alongside you.

 

 

I have decided that it is now time for me to say a fond farewell and set sail on my new adventures in 2020.

My last day will be December 6^th.  

 

I will be forever grateful to Uniting and the ‘cutting edge’ Ability Links program for my experience initially as one of the ‘original’ Ability Linkers (from July 1^st 2014) and more recently ‘behind the scenes’ in my secondment as a Community Development Project Officer for Southern NSW (since August 2018) -immersed in specialised project work. 

I am very proud of the Ability Links program knowing our strength based and person centred approaches have made a sustainable and positive impact within communities throughout NSW as well as empowered many individuals and families. 

 

It was confirmed earlier this month that Uniting Ability Links will continue for another 6 months in the following locations: Parramatta, Penrith, Wollongong, Nowra and Lithgow. Our Mariyung Aboriginal team will also continue (this had been confirmed previously).

I have also attached an Ability Links Community Development Resource Guide for you – our program is based on Asset Based Community Development with social inclusion at its heart and this resource has been put together especially for community use.
