Butea buteiformis! (Fabaceae). An interesting plant, first time we saw only here, a diminutive 'B.monosperma', but...you can see the differences. Its a small shrub, up to 2 m tall.

With regards

Thanks for sharing. Although it is used in many formulations but its use in prevention of Renal Calculi is surprising.

I would like to bring to the notice of explorer that Meizotropis buteifomis Voig. Syn. Burea minor is one of the common plant in many places in Pithoragarh district. If any one is in doubt pls come with me and I can show you thousands of shrubs, this is the season May-June for flowering. Yes B. pellita is only near nainital nased on the plant name the Hillock is named as Patwadanger. Near Baldiakhan base of Nainital in Pine forest. But the species being overlapped by Kala Vasa (Eupatorium adenophorum) and during summer due to fire it is being destryoed along with pine needles which catches fire luxuriently. This needs conservation. B. minor is enough on slopes  hence it should not be in IUCN list: Dr. B.S. Kalakoti Writer of FLORA OF NAINITAL DISTRICT,
