grass ID Hemarthria sp ? from Hooghly 6/8/12 SK2

Sir,

This grass is again from a lowland, lying unutilized. Could this be a Hemarthria compressa as in - http://www.efloras.org/object_page.aspx?object_id=49292&flora_id=1050 ?

Species : Unknown
Habit & Habitat : grass found in a low land
Date : 20/7/12
Place : Hooghly

Thank you very much for the ID suggestion, it must be some Ischaemum sp., found a similar image of I. indicum at - http://www.wm-sec.com/ischaemum_indicum.htm

This is Hemarthria compressa. The compressed or flattened leaf sheaths is also a identifying character in addition to the nature of the raceme.

Thank you for the probable ID of this grass. It has flattened & solid stem, leaves sheaths and inflorescence also are flattened.
