Dear friends,
Tall Erythrina trees planted along NH49, most probably exotic, in Chinnakanal, Munnar. Hoping to know the ID.

This appears to be E. indica but  I think it is a bad choice for a roadside tree given the easily broken branches.

key in Bengal Plants is same as in FoC, please check with same

This should be Erythrina subumbrans (Hassk.) Merr. ... thanks to Santhan ji's post and Varun ji's response put in some earlier posts.
