Dear friends,

Please help me know about species of Centaurium distributed in northern Western Ghats.
Intent of query is to know whether Erythraea roxburghii G.Don and Centaurium meyeri (Bunge) Druce are synonymous OR are distinct.

At The Plants List their entries are found separate as Centaurium centaurioides (Roxb.) S.R.Rao & Hemadri AND Centaurium pulchellum (Sw.) Druce RESPECTIVELY ... each of the entries are at low confidence level.

If there is only one species distributed in northern Western Ghats - it would then be Erythraea roxburghii G.Don as described in Cooke's Flora of the Presidency of Bombay ... synonym of Centaurium centaurioides (Roxb.) S.R.Rao & Hemadri.
Please validate.

Regards.
Dinesh

Would like to believe Centaurium meyeri (Bunge) Druce to be the only species distributed in northern Western Ghats ...synonyms: Erythraea meyeri Bunge • Erythraea roxburghii G.Don • Centaurium roxburghii (D.Don) Druce • Centaurium centaurioides (Roxb.) S.R.Rao & Hemadri • Centaurium centaurioides (Roxb.) Babu
