Poaceae, Cyperaceae and Juncaceae Week: Poaceae : Leptochloa? sk06

If this is a Leptochloa species, with its flexuose racemes it should be L. chinensis (L.) Nees.

I found this grass today in a dry canal. I do not have any detail because it was not possible to go near it.

Yes. Leptochloa sp. Number of florets per spikelet need to be seen for species identification. For that, photo of fresh specimen would be required.

Only possibilities are L.chinensis and L.panicea

Thank you very much Sir. I understand that close-up photo is needed to determine it to the species level. Next time i will record the same if i can get close to similar looking grasses.
