I am trying to copy my existing Document Types.
  • I have a namespace that contains all my Document Types. (namespaceA)
  • I would like to copy some Document Types to another namespace

Currently I have:

namespaceA
- homepage
- aboutus

namespaceB
- empty

Everything currently is in namespaceA

Ideally I would like to be able to copy "homepage" and "aboutus" Document Types to namespaceB.

The reason being, I want the same structure of the original Document Types, but I may want to make modifications to these Document Types independently in each namespace.

As far as I can see, it is only possible to copy Document Types within the same namespace.

Hope you can help.

Hi,

this isn't possible through the document type editor, as you have discovered. You can do it in the console, or preferably in your source (and then bootstrap it). This needs to be done in the cnd and also copy the hippo:namespaces definitions.
