Create user API for Hippo CMS

Hi,

          We want to create user other than sitewriter who can write permissions to upload documents.

Does Hippo CMS have an api exposed for creation of user?

Does Hippo CMS provide api to authenticate and authorize a user in Hippo CMS? I do not want to create a user using UI.
