How to create an interactive javascript chart (Highcharts kind of chart) in HippoCMS?

Hello,

Can someone please explain how I can create an interactive javascript chart in HippoCMS?

Should I add the javascript code to the page as a plugin, widget or module?

Maybe I should mention also that the charts will show dynamic data feeded from REST API.

Why don’t you simply create some JSP (or whatever template) pages in CMS wepapp and wrap the pages by the IFrame perspective plugin [1] to put in CMS UI as a separate perspective?

Hi,

it should be possible to do this, but it will require some work on your part. If you have a BRE license then you might be able to leverage the reporting dashboard [1]. Not 100% sure about that, but in any case you can create a custom perspective [2]. This does leave all the implementation of such a feature on your end. This comes with a cost for maintenance and upgrades.

that should be CMS (wicket) component, type of it is depending where you are gonna use it (document template, perspective, channel manager) ,
