HURON HIGH SCHOOL

1.  We are looking for a couple of students to assist us with the Senior Citizen Appreciation dinner on April 24th.  Someone can deliver the blessing and another student to do the introductions.
See Mr. Matheny if you are interested.

2.
The Huron Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers to help for approximately 2 hours on Saturday, May 3, for the Lighthouse Run.  They need students to supply water to the runners at different locations, and to direct runners along the route.  If you are interested in helping please call the Chamber office at 419-433-5700, or see Mrs. Hahn for more information.

3.
Attention football players, please bring report cards to the weight room tonight.

4.  Seniors:  Jostens will be here on Thursday, April 17th, to deliver graduation announcements and cap and gowns.  All balances must be paid in full before the items will be released to you.  If you have not yet ordered your cap & gown, this will be your chance to do so.  You must be in full cap & gown to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Attention all Seniors: If you are interested in playing or coaching in the Powderpuff game, there are forms located in Ms. Kukay’s room. Please turn in your form and $15 for your shirt in a sealed envelope, and place it in the box in Ms. Kukay’s room no later than Thursday, April 17th, by the end of 6th period. The Powderpuff game will be held at the Stadium on Wednesday, May 14th, at 6:00pm. If you have any questions, please see Hannah Neibler or Kaity Greulich.
Junior girls
: There seems to be some confusion for junior girls interested in playing in the Powder Puff game The game will be held on Wednesday, May 14th. In order to play in the game you must have your t-shirt form and $15 for the t-shirt turned into Mrs. Hotz's room no later than the end of the day on Thursday, April 17th (this Thursday). If you do not have your $15 dollars turned in by then you will not receive a Powder Puff t-shirt! Any questions, see Destini Smith or Colleen Allen.

6.  Huron High School will not be offering "all-school' physicals this Spring for our student athletes.  Firelands Regional Medical Center is no longer providing that service to area schools.  Please inform your parents this is no longer available so you will need to make other arrangements for your sports physical.

7.  On Thursday, April 17th, the National Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive.  If you are interested in donating, NHS representatives will have a table setup during lunch where you can sign up.  Note that if you are in a Spring sport, you need to check with your coach before you sign up to donate.  If you are over 17, you may donate without parental consent.  If you are 16 and still wish to donate, the NHS representatives at lunch will have a consent form that your parent must sign in order for you to donate.  Also, on the day of the blood drive, make sure to eat a good breakfast and bring a valid photo I.D.

8.  Seniors a list of Achievement Cords for the Class of 2014 is posted in the Guidance Office.  Please check the list before April 17.  If you feel you deserve a cord and were not on the list, be sure to see Mrs. Hahn or Mrs. Henning before April 17.
