Hi Group,

Gateware 20200119_69p0 has been released to testing. This marks the beginning of development for version 69 gateware. Those wishing to experiment with the new IO boards, PureSignal or CWX should use this new testing gateware. If you have no interest in that, or no means to update your gateware other than over ethernet, you may wish to wait until version 69 moves to stable. I anticipate several patch releases of version 69 to fix any IO issues found by beta testers and to add initial CWX support over the next few weeks.. See the the link for details.

This gateware supports 4 receivers. Some people who do not skim and use only PowerSDR may not realize that you can stitch multiple receivers together in PowerSDR. This allows you to see 768 kHz of bandwidth in PowerSDR's RX1 and RX2. Gateware which supports only 2 receivers is limited to 384 kHz.

Gateware 20191110_68p4 has been moved to stable. This marks the stable release of version 68 gateware.

Works fine with PowerSDR and PureSignal here.

Thanks

Hi Steve,
working well here. I shall play with the variant ID and add a warning to programming in spark if the filenames look wrong.  I'm a bit behind supporting some of the recent gateware features but have not forgotten them.

Hi Wolfgang,

There are hl2b2 gateware files in the 20200119_69p0 gateware. I moved them into the "variants" subdirectory. Only the hl2b5up is in the root directory to avoid confusion for most users. I did test TX on my hl2b2 with this gateware and TX is working. You can find the hl2b2 gateware files here:

Hallo Steve,

I have this version
hl2b2_main.jic  Stable release of 20191110_68p4, testing release of 20190119_69p0 Jan 20, 2020
tested, but no TX.
It appears that PTT is not evaluated.
I am using PowerSDR OpenHPSDR.
There is also no PTT_out to
switch on the BLF188-PA (quiescent current).

Hi Wolfgang,

I did test transmit with 20200119_69p0, Quisk and my beta2. Everything worked. I will try with PowerSDR when I have access to my HL2b2 again and let you know if I seed the same issues.

Hi Wolfgang,

I tested transmit with my beta2 and PowerSDR and all is working. What is your settings for Apollo->Enable Tuner and Apollo->Enable Filters? Apollo->Enable Tuner must be set to enable the PA.

Which gateware version did you program? hl2b2_main.jic from 20290119_69p0? Can you provide the file size and md5sum checksum of that file if possible?

Hi Steve,
on a quick test the 6rx variant only seems to have 4 receivers.

Hi Alan,

Yes, Johan pointed out to me that the number of receivers parameter was broken after fixing the PureSignal bug.I have fixed it and the github RTL is up to date. I will release 69p2 soon. I suggest people use the stable release if you want 6 receivers for now.
