Dell Computers for Donation

Hello all,

So, I haven't ever been to HeatSync Labs, but I would like to start going as I have a few upcoming projects that require some CAD design. Looking around on this group page, it looks like computer issues have been a hot topic lately. I am hoping some equipment I have would benefit the shop and make things function a little better.

I have a variety of Dell Optiplex 990 Small Form Factor desktops (around 6 right now) and at least a dozen Dell Latitude E5420/E5430 laptops, with everything being about 3-5 years old. They all have i5s and at least 4GBs of RAM, and everything is in working order, although some of the HDDs could possibly use a refresh. Everything has a W7 license for it as well (although they are currently wiped right now - I would appreciate an extra volunteer to help get the OS loaded back on them). I also have about 10 or so older HP 4:3 monitors that are a decent size, if there's any interest in those.

The only catch is that I need to get a confirmation letter of donation from whomever runs the 501(c)3. Please let me know who to contact for this.

Please let me know if this would be a worthwhile contribution to the shop, and if so, I will gather everything over the next week or two to donate!

Thank you for the offer. I'll email you so we can organize getting these donated to the lab. I'm less sure about the monitors because I know we have about 4 or 5 sitting on top of the shelf and they get used sometimes when people want to dual screen and stuff.
