Error while running VistA CPRS demo

I was trying to setup VistA CPRS demo on my system.

I downloaded CPRS installer from -  and installed on my Windows 7 system.

But on running the CPRSChart.exe as per the site above. I am getting WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL error .

Attached error sceenshot and properties. Do I need to make some changes in the properties to run the demo?

hi Neeraj, 

did you confirm the connectivity of this S="?????" part. I suppose this error means you can't reach the server on specified port address. trying ping CPRSdemo.va.gov and then if that works, try doing telnet CPRSdemo.va.gov 80 or whatever port number you have in shortcut link after P=

Thanks Nasir, The ping is not working. I also think same, the site is actually not working. 

I just want to demo CPRS with some online server. Do you know any other server or port, through which I can connect and see CPRS working?

I suppose this is not working in here as well.. Can you please try with 152.131.11.198 as parameter to S= , this should work..

Please report to cprsdem...@va.gov, they may help you on particular connectivity  issues...

I think the URL has been wrong for a long time and needs to be corrected. I have the IP that will work but I need to dig it out of my email. It should, however, be in the Hardhats archives somewhere as reported by me, so you can search on my name and CPRS and Demo.

You are most welcome. I gave it to the VA and I noticed they vetted it
and Vitalia posted it on http://downloads.va.gov as well. I wish the
network guys would just fix the problem instead of us having to go
through all of the machinations to allow the VA to show off its good

Hi All

I was also facing the connection timed out issues with the demo and while googling I found this message chain. Using this I tried all the options mentioned here including using the IP address 153.131.11.198 and also the alternate site address mentioned in the document mentioned by Nancy ( s=dicom.imaging.vacloud.us)  but somehow am not able to connect to that as it still times out. I even tried to change the ports and try with 9200 as well as 9000 but without any success though I am able to ping the dicom.imaging.vacloud.us.

Would request all you gurus to please advise if anything else could be wrong or need tweeking.
