The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, will host a 5-day intensive (online) short course on Disability Rights in an African Context from 8 to 12 March 2021.

This short course is part of the Centre’s efforts in promoting disability rights in Africa by raising awareness about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CPRD) (2006) and the newly adopted Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Africa (2018).

A high proficiency in English is required to attend this course. 
All lectures and materials are in English. 
Prior to applying for this course, please read through the information on the practical aspects.

The course will be offered online on Zoom.

Participants are therefore required to have access to a stable internet connection.

Participants are required to use a Google Gmail account.

Participation in the course is FREE of charge.

Applications close on 22 February 2021.
