When I come back to my computer, I'd like to be able to quickly
dismiss the rollup and get on with things. I'm a keyboard fanatic, and
by Fitt's Law anyway, it takes too long to mouse to the lil' "x" every
time I come back to my computer. :)

Thanks!

I'm the same way until I noticed that you can hit 'escape' if the rollup is in focus and it goes away.  *(:

My experience is that ESC only works if you first bring the rollup
into focus by clicking on it.

Also a keyboard fanatic, I would also find it useful to have the
rollup show up as an icon in CMD+TAB so I can treat it like any other
app. I would like to be able to hide, close or position it like any
other window. I would find it more useful as a sort of temporary todo-
list if I had that kind of control. I don't necessarily want it to be
ALWAYS ON TOP.
