growl gntp proxy

Does anyone know of a proxy that I could run on my desktop that will forward gntp requests to growl? At work have become in love with the windows use of gntp allowing websocket communication with growl.

I am working through a perl script to listen for gntp requests, handshake the websocket and reply the message. But will likely be very sad compared to a real application.
