I don't know what's happening at all, i purchased growl 1.3.3 a few hours ago and install it but it's not showing any notification for my programs, those are: Skype, Adium, Twitter, Dropbox... anything... my version of MAC is Lion 10.7.4, anyone with the same problem and could fix it? Previous versions on Snow Leopard (1.2.2) works fine, i don't know what's happening...

Are the apps you are using are they the current version of the apps?

If you mean about Growl Detective that check out about your frameworks apss, not, they're not at their current version, but in despite of that, there's not any difference in order to show up notifications.

I am having the same problem. Running the same operating system and none of my apps except for Postbox post growl notifications. Skype no work :(

Have you checked to make sure the apps themselves are updated?  I have Skype (current version) working, as in the Skype preferences you go to notifications and set it to Growl

So for the apps you mentioned:

Dropbox - http://growl.info/documentation/appconfigs/dropbox.php

Try those things and let us know if it works or not. :)

Sure, we just need to know what apps you are trying to get it to work with, or what you are having problems with specifically.

Since growl is on the computer from the mac app store I don't understand how google is connected. I did down load google notifier for that account and want to do the same with my edmanke@me account.

Growl does not work by itself, Growl displays notifications other apps send to it. Therefore, if you want notifications about emails you receive, you need an app that supports Growl to send Growl those notifications.
Google Notifier will send notifications for google accounts, but if you want notifications about your @me.com account, you'll need something else.
Best bet is probably to make your email client work with Growl. Assuming you are using Mail that comes with OS X, GrowlMail will help you out. Get it from here:
http://growl.info/growlmail/
If not, let us know which email client you are using.

I do have it working fine here on 10.7.4  w/ growl 1.4

Do you have 3 apps you want to use (start w/ 3 so it does not get complicated)
