I have the latest hardware growler installed. Works perfectly and
flawlessly with everything except power sources. I actually had to
tell growl to suppress the on ac power messages due to this.

So here's the setup:

MBP 10.7.3 11D33 (did this on 10.7.2 as well) 8gb Ram, 256gb SSD

Via USB, I have a USB 2.0 hub which has a keyboard, trackball, and a
UPS connected to it.

When all connected, I get messages roughly every two seconds about
being on AC power from both sources (apple power from power adapter,
AND UPS). This doesn't seem to occur if I have the USB hub
disconnected. If I disconnect the AC power source from the laptop, it
just constantly tells me I'm on battery power from one source
(internal battery), and no longer reports about the UPS.

Not a MAJOR issue, since I can easily shut it up by disabling
notifications for A/C power, but seems like it's incorrect behavior.

I just bought HardwareGrowler version 1.3.2 (released Feb 13, 2012) from the Mac App Store and have the same issue, both when I'm on A/C, connected to a cinema display via a Thunderbold port and when I'm on battery. Thanks for the tip on disabling the specific notifications.

I'm wondering if this is a bug in HardwareGrowler or the OS itself. I'm currently running OS X 10.7.3.
