No options on growl main window anymore (please see image)

growl no longer loads at start up or shows me any options. what do i do? i have uninstalled it and installed it few times (from app store). it opens one times only (after fresh install) then every time i open it i get this window. i have no applications or history tab. i have done clean uninstallation (removed app support files and preference files). i am not sure what is causing this, it was working fine but lately i hadn't open growl preferences so i don't know when it started doing this.

any help would be appreciated.

i am on lion and only trying to install latest growl from app store.

Can you get info on Growl and see what version the Finder says you have installed?

its latest version from app store 1.3.3.. i only install it via app store and it has newest version

I also have this problem. I'm also using Growl 1.3.3 from the app store.

So we've submitted Growl 1.4 to the app store, which we believe should resolve this issue with the toolbar. If it doesn't, you can try stopping Growl, renaming the preferences file (com.growl.growlhelperapp.plist in ~/Library/Preferences), but I'd recommend waiting on 1.4.
