How do I stop the rollup box appearing on my desktop all the time?

go to general pane in growl preferences and set "Send notifications to Rollup after" to a much bigger number of seconds. i find 300s (5mins) works well for me.

Perhaps we should look at a larger number as the 'default' setting?

There will be a checkbox to disable rollup in 1.3.1, just an FYI. :)

Personally, I like it better than the old way of covering the desktop with notifications… I just hadn't bothered to try to find the settings to change the time on it until I saw Josh's message…

I like the idea of the rollup window, but hate the in your face window
every time you come back to the Mac that I constantly have to close.
I would love to see this integrated into the menu bar .. I believe
someone mentioned a pulsating menu icon when there are messages that
were rolled up, then click on the menu bar icon to display the
window. So .. Rollup is a great idea, but the implementation needs to
change

I agree with the above.  I appreciate the Rollup as a great idea but it needs to be executed a bit differently.  I would like the ability to determine which app's alerts get sent to the Rollup after the period of inactivity.  In addition to a "rollup NO notes" option.  As it stands now, it is more annoying than useful...
