Hello.
Is there any way to force Growl to replace old notification with the new one?
It can be very useful for music players and for styles such as Music Video.

For example, if you switch tracks fast growl will show 'em one by one until the timeout, which is not really good.

That would be entirely up to the application developer. currently
notifications get coalesced based on an identifier specified as part
of the notification, if they don't specify one then you see the
behavior you're seeing.

Thanks for the info.
But i think that it'd be nice if we will be able to override that via growl in application settings.
Some styles just don't fit the default behavior and software developers can't know which one of them will be used for notifications.

Which displays are you talking about?

Those which can be displayed only one at a time.

Bezel and Music Video if we are talking about what is included in the Growl.

Bezel and Music Video work on a queueing system. They show one notification at a time. That will not change. Nano also fits into that same queueing system.

It seems that you don't understand what i mean.

I have nothing against that queueing system, i just want to have an option to replace already shown notification with the new one if Growl gets it.

So, you want queueing displays to support coalescing. Am I understanding you correctly?
