The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is honored to invite you to a Seminar on “Nutrition-sensitive urban agriculture in Indonesia” on Thursday 30 April 2015. Details of the programme are in the attachment.
Speakers from several organizations, both in the public and private sector, are presenting their experiences on programmes to promote urban agriculture in low-income areas in Indonesia.
Urban agriculture has an essential and growing role in supplying urban areas with nutritious, perishable food products, including horticultural products. In addition, urban agriculture potentially improves livelihoods, increases income, leads to women empowerment, and is recognized to make low-income urban areas cleaner and greener.
The objective of the seminar on “Nutrition-sensitive urban agriculture in Indonesia” is to join forces to identify possible solutions to overcome problems related to urban food insecurity and malnutrition.
Organizations and companies are also invited to present their work in two minute Elevator Pitches. There is exhibition space available for posters, banners on the work of your organization. Please inform the organizer before 27 April 2015 should you be interested in this.
