If you look at Google Finance (http://www.google.com/finance?
client=ob&q=NASDAQ:GOOG), the timeline isn't continuous, because the
price only changes from 9:30 to 16:00 and only on weekdays.

As I try to display amount of done work I need to do similar thing but
don't know how.

Is this even possible?

This is not implemented yet in this version of the chart, but we are already looking at this feature.

Thanks for saving me time.

Any idea when it may happen?

Similarly the time line in the API has an annoying feature where the
time point is selected when the mouse is on the point or later than
the point (so value 3 is highlighted as the mouse moves from 2.999 to
3). In the finance version of the chart, the point highlights at the
midpoint (if 2 and 3 are the points, 3 is selected when the mouse
moves from 2.5 to 2.6). This, combined with the problem described by
the Ben means that the last point in a series is difficult to select
and really does not look like it is there.

Please see 'hightlightDot' at http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/annotatedtimeline.html
This does exactly what you want.
