Hi Visualization Experts

I just went online with http://www.datastripper.com/chart-wheat-price where I use the Annotated Timeline Charts from the google viz api.

Everything works fine in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.. but in IE9 and IE10 the chart is not rendering correctly.

The <div id='chart_div'></div> should render as width=930px and height=400px, but in IE this is rendering with a width closer to 200px?? Has any of you come across similar issues for IE and do you know what the cause might be?

If you head to http://www.datastripper.com/chart-wheat-price you are able to see the source.

Your feedback is appreciated.

Cheers
Jacob

Well that's a new one.  There doesn't seem to be a problem with ATL charts in IE 9, 10 in general, so it's likely that there is something in your code that is messing with the way they are rendering - nothing pops out at me though.

There is an alternative to using ATL charts that avoids all of the issues that come with Flash: you can create a Dashboard with a LineChart and a ChartRangeFilter, and get 95% of the functionality of an ATL chart.

Thanks for your reply, and for taking the time to look at it.

I'm quite happy with the ATL and it seems like significant workaround to implement a linechart with a dashboard to simulate the functionality of ATL. It looks to me that this is related to the IE layout engine and I am keen to find a simpler solution to have it rendered correctly on IE. For all other browsers the ATL are rendering just fine, so I will continue to play around with this for IE.

Are there anyone else who is facing this issue?

Cheers
