If you have 4 or less nodes, you can fake it using the min/mid/max/noColor options, but that isn't likely to work for you.  Other than that, there is no way to do what you want.  You can make a feature request for it, if you like.

Thank you for the quick reply! Just submitted a feature request. I would have lost a lot of time trying this thinking it was possible :) 

I have more than 50 nodes in some of the TreeMap I am generating.
