Motion chart no longer zooming

Hi all,

I've noticed recently, that the Zoom feature on my instances of
Motion Chart are no longer working. The little Zoom/Cancel window
comes up when I select a region, but when I click Zoom, nothing
happens. Everything else about the chart seems to work OK. I've tried
this on both Chrome (13) and Firefox ( 5) on a Linux machine. I've had
one other person check it on a Windows machine, but I'm not sure what
browser they had. It did also not zoom for them.

I had exactly the same problem. 

I found my problem was wrongly including the google jsapi as:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/jsapi"></script>

It should be:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.google.com/jsapi"></script>

After changing that, zooming just works again.

This thread was about the motion chart, and since it is written in flash, we are no longer maintaining it and don't expect to update it, though you can keep using it.  Given the age of the previous messages, I don't know if anything there is relevant to your current problem, though it may well be.  

If anyone else knows how to help you with zooming in the motion chart, it would be great if they could respond here.

By the way, our plan is to reimplement the motion chart without using flash.  We have some early prototypes of this effort, but we haven't had time to pursue it.
