I have been asked if it is possible to do the maps projection but use other coordinates as the logical centre of the map. Greenwich isn't where we want to center all the maps.

I have also been asked if other projections are available, which are less distorting of the polar regions. Greenland is over-emphasized, and Australia is somewhat smaller than it is.

If you are referring to Geomaps or Geocharts, then no, there is no way (at least, not that I am aware of) to change the center coordinates, nor can you choose an alternative projection.

I would also be interested in this option to change the center of the regions being displayed.
For example, when we choose GB - very popular and requested map - a lot of the surroundings keep showing.
I've worked around this specific case with css, croping the frame and keeping only the UK regions.
