I don't see anything in the FAQ that says otherwise. And I seem to
remember that people (Kai?) did that in previous years.

You may want to wait for a definitive answer from Google, though.

Each org needs to have a backup admin, as per
http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2013/help_page#4._Can_a_mentoring_organization_have

But I guess if you can admin for more than one org, you could also be
the backup admin for more than one.

Yes, this is fine. Folks do it all the time. :-) Just keep in mind that's a *huge* time commitment and you should be aware of what you're getting yourself into before you do it.

You have to provide a backup admin for each org.
