Search from database

hello, it's me again.

I've got a problem. I wanna make local search on my map with data from database, but is it possible for me to do that? The samples in google-code i've found are local search (places) -seems it based on Google database-. No one samples on searching from local database/ our local database (MySQL database). Can you give me some help on 'how to' and/or some references on that case? I hope i could see some examples too.

Thanks for the link, anyway. I've visited it, but it still not what i expected. My goal looks like site's Ace Hardware locator (http://www.acehardware.com/mystore/storeLocator.jsp). I still wonder how to make a searching my own data, stored in my database, integrated with google map.

Any replies would be appreciated ^^

We don't know what you expected at all, you haven't said. That
example does what you asked ; searches a private database. More
detail might help.

So use a debugger to see how that works. You won't be able to see how
the SQL parts work, but that is off-topic for maps and more suited to
MySQL tutorial or forums.

Umm.. I'd like to make a map, with a search feature that use my own data (maybe like you said, search private database). Of course,, the data contain coordinate, so that it's showed in the map. Just like ace hardware.

Exactly. I thought your statement is right. I think about it tonight. And yeah,, It's about MySQL execution, not related to the map directly. Maybe it's just my complicated brain hehehe.. Thank you for reminding me for 'that thing'. OK, then. Thanks once more :) It opens my mind :D
