adding markers to locations using address

Hi,

I am working on a project where I need to add markers to some locations near user's current location. I have address for those locations but not the latlong values. I dont want to hardcode those values by finding them somewhere else and then adding markers at those locations. Kindly help with some code where I can query and dynamicaly generate markers using address fields only. If even I find code to convert address into latlong, that will be sufficient.
