Map code working but need help improving structure

Hi Guys

So I've got a fully functional co-ordinate plotting page however I'm
still a Jr developer and I think my code could be tighter and neater as far as the structure goes, so if anyone can
tell me how I can make my map functions better I'd appreciate it. Please forgive
the instructions they are a work in progress
