Maps API V3 Usage Limit Questions

I have several websites that use the Google Maps V3 API. My question is, is the 25K API limit per website or is it tracked across all websites?

Another question is if it is tracked per website then will there be different map codes used in the the Google APIs interface?

Thank you. I worded the second question poorly. In the Google API console there will be an APIs console key. The question is would there be a capability to have a API console key for each domain. I assume, based on the first answer, there would be different console key for each domain.

I'm not at all sure if/how subdomains come into play with all this.
