Good Eevening All

I created a google map api displaying a kmz layer. The map rendered
the kmz layer one time successfully and then stop rendering. Below are
links to the site and kmz file. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

It looks like your site has a connectivity problem which would explain why your kml layer isn't drawing. DNS resolved fine - just can't connect.

I managed to connect but the KMZ file was only sent at around 21kb/s.
Looking at the page, everything is served at around that speed. Google
will timeout and get (and return) nothing.

I guess the speed is throttled for some reason, but until that's
sorted, it won't work.

It works for me on google maps:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=http:%2F%2Fwww.yarvolgar.com%2Fkml%2Ftry.kmz&hl=en&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=41.632176,56.513672&t=m&z=3

Which leads me to believe it should work with the API.

Does KmlLayer.getStatus() tell you anything?
getStatus() KmlLayerStatus Get the status of the layer, set once the
requested document has loaded.

A copy of your kmz also works (albeit slowly) with geoxml3:

What I saw on both maps.google.com and on the OP's page was a
chequerboard effect, i.e. the KML renderer was serving some image
tiles but not others.
As that makes no sense, I would guess that the tiles are actually
coming from different Google tile servers (like ordinary map tiles
do).
Perhaps that points back to the KMZ file being served slowly; some
parts of Google's distributed service time it out and others scrape
by.

If that's true, what you see may well depend on where you live!
