Feature Request: Polyline Display Types

Is it OK to put feature requests into the forum? I hope so. If I'm in the wrong place, please let me know.

 

I've searched through the posts and I have discovered that some people have extended, or are at least interested in extending, the Polyline object to do dashed and dotted lines. I know I can already change color and thickness for Polylines, but I really would like to see an official easy way to select different line display types as a Polyline option: solid, dashed, dotted, dashed-and-dotted, etc.
