Hamburg vs. Harburg

The current release of the geo-encoding service delivers Harburg as locality for parts of Hamburg (notice the 'r' instead 'm'). Harburg is a town which is part of Hamburg, South of Hamburg. More or less a district. The concerned districts are Mitte, Neustadt and as far as I recognized St. Pauli. There might be an error in the labeling of this zones.

This problem persists. It's not only in Hamburg-Mitte, Neustadt etc.,
but everywhere else I've checked in recent weeks (Rissen, Eimsbüttel,
Bergedorf) including half of the addresses Maps suggests for Hamburg
Airport.

Google has been alerted to this via the local paper three weeks ago,
and one should think that they would have been able to correct the
coding by now.

Any updates yet?

We have noticed the current troubles regarding HaRburg/HaMburg when a
client complained and stated correctly, that all searches containing
"harburg" are remodelled (at least within Google Maps) as "keywordABC
hamburg".

And yes, this small letter does make a difference :)

Discussion on this group is unlikely to help resolve the problem.
The Google employees who monitor this group are responsible for the maps API and not the contents of the geo-coding database or other maps content.

Where is this fixed, please? All street addresses I've tried, from
Rissen in the west to Bergedorf in the east, or Eppendorf, Neustadt,
St. Pauli - all suggest Harburg still. It's not even funny anymore,
it's massively annoying and unprofessional.

I don't get Harburg anymore when calling http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=Neustadt,%20Hamburg&sensor=false

I initially tried searching for about 10 different streets on Maps in
different districts, and all got Harburg, and still do. I even tried
the "clueless" tourist approach with "Uniklink Eppendorf" in Google
Search, then clicked on the map next to the result, and it says
"Martinistraße 52, Harburg." Same with "Flughafen Hamburg" entered in
Google Search, then clicked on "directions" above the map section next
to the first result, it says "Flughafenstr. 1, Harburg" Or "Sternwarte
Bergedorf" - "Gojenbergsweg 112, Harburg", or "Hartwig-Hesse-
Stiftung", 3 results, all Harburg, although one is in Rissen, one is
near Berliner Tor, one is in Steilshoop... Or simply "Uni Hamburg",
the fifth entry down in Google Search says "Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1
20146 Harburg, Germany"
