I want to be able to embed interactive maps in my blog (either Wordpress or Blogger).  The problem I meet is that only simple maps can be embedded using the stock embed code.  My maps are created using KMLs (from a GPS) and with the track points stripped out, but these are still not able to be embedded.

Can I do this with API v3?

I don't know JavaScript, but am willing to learn if the desired outcome is feasible.  But I have less than a week to find a solution and I am trying to avoid going down dead ends.  If anyone has a solution they are willing to share, then that would be fantastic, but if not, then I will try to figure it out myself - I just want to know if people think it can be done or whether it would fail because of browser or Googlemaps limitations.

Thank you in advance.

Do you have an example kml file that doesn't work? Without seeing the
problem, it is hard to say whether it is a limitation or something you
are doing wrong.

There are some limitations (size and complexity) on kml:

How about posting an example of a KML file that you would like to
display with the API?
