Embedded map is different to the map of the same location on maps.google.com

After finding a location on the maps.google.com website, I embedded the map into a web page, using the Google Maps Javascript API V3. Strangely, it seems as if the actual map data is different after I have done this! Looking at the API embedded map, the streets are less detailed, and are not named. This is not a zoom issue, as the difference is apparent at every zoom level.

Here is the map on maps.google.com:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=436A%2F101+3+Thang+2+Street,+Ward+12,+District+10,+Ho+Chi+Minh+City&hl=en&ll=10.769399,106.668921&spn=0.004838,0.008304&z=17

And the same location through an embedded map in a page I created:

http://www.timhillonline.com/googlemaps/map_via_api.html

As you can see, this is exactly the same location (surrounding landmarks are identical), but the streets look different. In the embedded version there is much less detail, and some streets are even missing! Also, there are far fewer street names marked on the map.

Naturally I'd much rather use the more detailed map data, when embedding the map into my page. Is there any way I can do this?

Thanks.

Hi Tim, I'm having the same problem as you.

Did you find any solution?

I don't know, but it seems that some infos on google maps isn't
available when using it out of google. For example, if you create a
map on my maps and embed it into a blog using the iframe create via
that link button on top o google maps, the map shown isn't the same,
some infos about some places like restaurants, pub's and etc. doesn't
appear.

Any hint will be welcome.
